What is the difference between an adviser and an auxiliary (paraplanner) license? - US & CA

In terms of software functionality, the adviser and auxiliary (paraplanner) licenses are identical.

For those using an auxiliary license of the software an additional Display Name field is included in the user profile so they may enter the name of the adviser for whom they are generating the report. The name of the adviser will then appear on the cover page in place of the auxiliary user's own name.

Persons registered with the regulatory body as an adviser may not purchase or use a auxiliary license.

In terms of cost, details on pricing can be found here:

A firm must have at least one adviser license to be eligible to purchase an auxiliary license. Only one Voyant auxiliary license may be purchased per Voyant adviser license within a subscription. For example, a firm has purchased 2 adviser licenses. This firm has the option to then purchase 1 or 2 auxiliary licenses. The firm may not purchase a 3rd auxiliary license before purchasing a 3rd adviser license.

To qualify for an auxiliary license, the licensee may not be registered as an adviser with applicable regulatory authorities.

Licenses can be configured so that both the adviser and auxiliary have full access to all clients already within the subscription, and new clients going forward, if that is what is required.
