ARCHIVE - Assets Chart - Why isn't the name of each asset displayed below the chart when the Detailed view is ticked? **AdviserGo, UK and Ireland**

Q - Why isn't the name of each asset displayed below the chart when the Detailed view is ticked for the Assets chart?

A - This is by design. By ticking Detailed, you have switched from the Simple view, which we can easily categorise into a finite number of categories and display in the panel beneath the charts, to the Detailed view, which assigns a unique colour to every asset in your plan.

The color coding in the detailed view can still be viewed on the chart legend when you click the bars of the chart. They are intentionally omitted from the chart panel.

Why don't we show what these detailed colors represent, as is done when viewing the detailed cash flow chart?

Because one could enter an almost infinite number of assets into a plan, whereas the number of cash flow categories are finite. We have enough space onscreen to accommodate all of the predefined cash flow categories but in many plans we would not have enough space in this panel to display color codes for all of the detailed assets or for that matter all of the detailed expenses, which is why these chart views work a bit differently.
