In this video, I’ll walk you through how to set up custom model portfolio options in Voyant.
You will only have access to this feature if you are listed as a Subscription Owner or Subscription Manager on your account. If you’re not sure who has those permissions for your subscription, you can always reach out to our support team at support@planwithvoyant.com and we’d be happy to help.
To begin setting up custom model portfolios, start from your home page where your client list is located. From here, you’ll see a Model Portfolios option.
These portfolios are built using the Market Assumptions available within your subscription. If you’d like more information about setting up custom Market Assumptions, feel free to contact support for assistance.
For this example, I’m simply going to use the default assumptions already available in the subscription.
We’ll click Add to create a new portfolio.
First, I’m going to create a portfolio called Conservative.
Next, we’ll enter an asset allocation based on the asset classes available within the selected Market Assumptions.
For this example, I’ll assign percentages across the different asset classes until the total allocation reaches 100%.
Once complete, we’ll click Done.
Now we have a Conservative portfolio available within the subscription.
Next, I’ll create another portfolio called Moderate.
Again, we’ll allocate percentages across the available asset classes. Some asset classes may appear on a second page, so you can click through and continue building the allocation as needed.
Once the allocation totals 100%, click Done.
Finally, I’ll create a High Growth portfolio using the same process.
Again, these allocations are simply examples.
Now we can see that we have Conservative, Moderate, and High Growth portfolios available to choose from.
Once the portfolios are created, I’m going to return to my client list and open a client plan to confirm everything is working as expected.
If I open an investment account, I should now be able to grow that account using one of the custom model portfolios I created.
Inside the investment account, I can click to choose a Model Portfolio, and then use the slider bar to select between the portfolios available in the subscription.
That’s all there is to it.
If you have any questions while working in the software, please reach out to us for support. You can click on your client’s name in the top-right corner, select Request Support, type your message into the text box, and share client access. This will send us a message along with a link to your plan.
Thanks for listening!
