Withdrawals - Schedule planned withdrawals
In our December 2018 release, Planned Withdrawals has been added as new screen in Voyant Adviser for use in scheduling future withdrawals from investments, pensions, and savings . Watch this video to learn about this new screen and other important updates related to managing withdrawals.
Using the new Planned Withdrawals screen, you can schedule withdrawals from multiple accounts in one fell swoop, set an account-by-account liquidation schedule, and easily schedule one-off withdrawals. UK advisers now have the option to choose either UFPLS or flexible access drawdown income from money purchases. Plus many more improvements related to planned withdrawals and withdrawal limits expanded upon here.
If you weren’t setting withdrawals before, you are not required to set them up now. Voyant will continue to take withdrawals as needed from liquid assets to fill any gaps in future income. But if you want to take a more hands-on approach to setting your clients’ future income strategy, the new Planned Withdrawals screen is a powerful tool to help you do so.
ISA wrapping - schedule a recurring Bed & ISA
Voyant Adviser can be used very effectively to demonstrate to clients the benefits of contributing annually to ISAs as a tax-free wrapper. One strategy for funding ISAs is through Bed & ISA.
Claire Evans demonstrates how to schedule regular transfers from an unwrapped, taxable investment account into a family’s ISAs to build up a sizable nest egg of tax free income for their future.
Manage Plans, Scenarios
Learn how the planning year is set in Voyant, how to change it, and how to run a general update of a plan when performing an annual client review. We will also demonstrate how updated base plans can be used to track client progress.
Protection, Insurance Need Analysis
Learn how to create what-if planning scenarios modelling an earlier than assumed mortality using Voyant's new replacement Mortality events. Using these events, an individual's mortality can be positioned anywhere on the timeline with a simple drag and drop. Convenient for the creation of life insurance need and estate planning scenarios.
Stephen Browne of Voyant Ireland shows how to use Voyant Adviser to analyse a client's financial plan for the possible need for critical coverage in cases of disability (income protection) and critical illness (CIC).
Major loss, capacity for loss simulations
Voyant's Loss Capacity / Market Crash simulator is a simple to use and very powerful simulation. Advisers enter in a market downturn event similar to recent market events and see the effects visually on a client's portfolio.
Spending capacity - Calculate annual capacity to spend
If your client has no red on their Let’s See chart they are very likely to end up with some liquid assets at the end of their plan. Stephen Browne of Voyant Ireland shows how to calculate how much extra your client could have spent without running out of money at any point. As they say life’s not a rehearsal!
