How to export vyt files and import into another Voyant account/environment

There may be times when you want to export a client file into another user account e.g. for testing. 

Note: exporting and importing creates a separate, stand-alone copy of the client record so this functionality should not be used to work collabaratively with other Voyant users on a client case. If you want to share clients with colleagues so that you can work on the same client record this can be done via Client Share or Client Teams.

How to export then import a client file (.vyt)

1. Open AdviserGo on the source environment and open the client case you wish to export. 
2. Click the name of the client, top right. 
3. Select in the menu Export Client File, as shown below. 
 

Tip: If you don't see the Export Client File option when clicking the client name, please ask your Subscription Owner or Manager to contact Voyant Support requesting that this functionality be switched on for your account.

4. Click the .VYT export button, as shown below. This should save a copy of the client case in a .VYT format to your Downloads folder. 
 

 
5. Next, open AdviserGo on the target environment, using the account you want to import the case into. 
6. On the home screen, click the plus button, bottom right, and click Import Client, as pictured below. 
 

 
7. Select the .VYT File Import option, as pictured below. 
 

Tip: If you don't see the option for .VYT File import, please ask your Subscription Owner or Manager to contact Voyant Support requesting that this functionality be switched on.

8. Either drag and drop the .VYT file that you downloaded earlier into the box on the screen pictured below or select Choose File to navigate to your Downloads folder to select the file.  
 


 
9. With the selected file shown in the box onscreen, click Upload File. 
 
The uploaded file, provided there are no issues, should open in AdviserGo and be saved to the new environment/account.
