In today's training, I will be walking you through some of the advanced features in AdviserGo that are easily missed.

First, if you haven’t already, I recommend turning on Inline Help. To do this:

  1. Click the silhouette icon in the top right corner.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Turn Inline Help on.

This will highlight underlined words throughout the software, giving you access to help information directly within the plan.

Another option in Preferences is to hide your dashboard chart. This can be useful to review the data with your client before discussing cash flow.

Dashboard tips:

  • In the Goals section, click Show Timeline to quickly navigate to the timeline. You can click each goal to highlight it, move events on the fly, or add new events or goals during client conversations.

  • In Savings and Investments and Retirement sections, click Show Overview to see asset allocation and fund breakdowns.

  • Widgets on the right-hand side of the dashboard provide quick visualizations:

    • Assets by Type

    • Assets vs. Debts

    • Asset Allocation

    • You can also switch to a Bar Chart view.

  • Clicking the Voyant logo anywhere in the plan will take you backanywhere in the plan will take you back to the Client List.

  • Timeline and Goals:

  • Goals are trackable expenses or targets. Use goals to visualize whether clients will achieve their objectives.

  • Common goals include retirement spending and any financial milestones clients are working toward.

  • Net Worth Goal: This goal isn’t tied to expenditures but allows you to test net worth at a specific point in the plan. For example, a goal of $1,000,000 net worth by age 65 can be entered, and the plan will show if they’re on track.

  • Goal Priority Analysis Insight: You can simulate removing certain goals to see how it affects overall objectives. For example, removing a down payment gift to a child may help clients meet retirement spending goals.

  • Reports:

  • AdviserGo offers multiple reports:

    • Financial Summary Report

    • Retirement Summary

    • Events and Goals Report

  • You can create a custom report set by clicking the plus button, naming it, and selecting the reports you want included.

  • Specify a time span for detailed reports to focus on certain years (e.g., first 4–5 years).

  • Stages:

  • Plans include default stages: Pre-Retirement and Retirement.

  • You can add additional stages, name them, assign start/end events, and choose a color.

  • Stages help reflect multiple life phases, like travel years or late retirement.

  • Adding Events on the Timeline:

  • Click the plus button, select Events, and choose an icon.

  • Example: A client wants to buy a boat at age 70. You can place the event, then tie it to a Milestone Goal later once the amount is known.

  • Charts:

  • Turn on the Legend and Details for full cash flow information.

  • Hover over bars in the Assets Chart to see end-of-year projections.

  • Zoom into specific stages or focus on real money (removing inflation effects).

  • Insights:

  • Example: Annual Savings Insight calculates the additional amount clients need to save to remove shortfalls.

  • Compare the base plan to the scenario with additional savings to visualize the impact.

  • I hope this was helpful. If you have any questions, click the client’s name in the top right, select Request Support, enter your question, and share client access.
