Sunsetting Voyant Adviser - Our Java Desktop Software
Thank you for being a loyal Voyant subscriber and for helping us grow our financial planning platform into the industry leader it is today.
All at Voyant are proud of the role that the desktop (Java) version of our software, Voyant Adviser, has played in our arrival and growth in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It gives me a profound sense of personal accomplishment to know this product has been used by thousands of advisers with almost one million clients.
As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. After much deliberation, Voyant has decided to end-of-life Voyant Adviser – the desktop (Java) version of our software – on 31 December 2022. Access to the desktop software will no longer be available after this date.
This was not an easy decision, but the risks associated with relying on obsolete technology have become too great. The underlying technology on which Voyant Adviser was built, Java, has become outdated, less secure, and is difficult to support – which greatly limits any future product development.
Voyant AdviserGo – our web-based software – is built, by contrast, on a modern, secure, and responsive platform, offering the highest quality user experience with advanced information security. While certain workflows might look different, AdviserGo is FULLY featured. There are also dozens of additional capabilities in AdviserGo that have never been, nor would ever have been, available in Voyant Adviser. Based on your feedback, a few remaining features from Voyant Adviser are still being added to AdviserGo. We expect these to be in place in the coming weeks.
Change can be a challenge, but the entire Voyant team is here to support you in the management of this transition. We are excited about the future of Voyant AdviserGo and the flexibility it allows in delivering best-in-market financial planning capabilities for many years to come.
