How to import from Transact into Voyant - UK

To begin importing client information from Transact into Voyant once the integration has been activated, firstly sign in to AdviserGo.

The first time you connect to Transact via Voyant you will be asked to enter your Transact (not Voyant) user name and password. 

Please note: If you receive an authentication error when attempting to sign in, please contact your Transact account manager to ensure that the service is also set up and active on their end.

Option A - Create a new client record using information imported from Transact

Use these instructions to import data for clients who have a Transact record, but do not have a Voyant client record yet. This will create a new client record in Voyant. If you want to update an existing Voyant client record with data from Transact, use the instructions in Option B below instead.

1. In the AdviserGo home screen, click the + button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, then click Import Client.

2. Click Transact in the list of available integrations.

3. Once you sign into Transact, a Client Search window will display. Enter either the first and/or last name of your client or leave the field blank and click Search to view all of the clients available for import from Transact.

4. Select the record you want to import and click OK. The client record will appear in Voyant.

Tip: After importing you may receive a message stating that the plan has errors. Don’t be alarmed. This message usually does not indicate a problem with the Transact data. Rather, some of the items imported need additional information in order to be effectively modelled in Voyant. Click on each error to resolve and to add in this data.

Option B - Update an existing client record with information imported from Transact

Use these instructions to import data from Transact into a client record you already have set up in Voyant. This will update an existing client record. If you want to set up a new client record in Voyant, use the instructions in Option A above instead.

Tip: you may want to update the start date of the plan before importing updated data from Transact, thereby preserving a copy of the plan before the data was imported: How to update the start date.

1. Open the relevant client record and click the + button in the borrom right hand corner of the Dashboard, then click Import Client.

Tip: Make sure you have the correct client record open in Voyant before proceeding with the import.

2. Click Transact in the list of available integrations.

3. Once you sign into Transact, a Client Search window will display. Select the relevant Transact client record.

4. The system will guide you through the linking process to identify matches between the existing Voyant plan data and the updated client data from Transact.
