Welcome to today’s training. We’ll be taking a look at Voyant’s new Reports screen.

I’m going to navigate over to the Reports section, and today we’ll focus on Client Reports. You’ll notice a new layout for the Client Report presentation, and I’ll walk you through how to navigate it.

From this new Reports screen, you’ll first see the cover page. In the top-right corner, there are three dots. If you click those, you’ll see two options: Configure and Preview.

  • Configure allows you to set who the report is presented by. This is especially useful if you’re an admin or a paraplanner running a report on behalf of an advisor. You can select the advisor’s name so the report is generated in their name rather than yours. Once you make your selection, click Save.

  • Preview gives you a quick overview of what’s included in the report.

Next, under Select a Plan, you’ll be able to choose which plan you want to generate a report for. If your client has a base plan with several what-if scenarios, you can select the base plan or any scenario you’d like.

You’ll also see an option to select a Report Set. If you’ve created preset report sets, you can choose one here, or you can hand-select individual reports to include.

Let’s say you have a specific report set you’d like to run. You can expand or collapse each item by clicking Review, Configure, and Generate. Again, you’ll notice the three dots on the right:

  • Configure lets you toggle report options, add notes, or adjust settings.

  • Preview shows a snapshot of the report.

  • Delete removes the report from the set before generating.

Adding notes is a new feature. This allows you to include reminders or context for your client—for example, details from your meeting or specific recommendations. Once entered, click Save.

For detailed reports like Cash Flow or Assets, Configure also allows you to set a timeframe. You can use preset options like “every fifth year” or “first five years,” or you can define a custom range—for example, 2024 through 2034. Then, add your notes and click Save.

Before generating, you’ll also see additional options, such as:

  • Export raw data and images

  • Use real money (which removes inflation adjustments, available only on select reports)

If you’d like to review reports you’ve run previously, go to View Recent Reports. This shows your recent activity for that client. If you want to clear your selections and start fresh, click Reset Selections, then choose and configure reports manually.

Once you’re happy with your selections, click Generate Report. This will create a PDF version of your report, ready to send to your client.

I hope this overview of the new Reports screen has been helpful. If you have questions, please reach out to us at support@planwithvoyant.com. You can also click your client’s name in the top right corner and select Request Support to share client access.
