Wealth Flow (Canada)

Introducing Wealth Flow

Wealth Flow is a new dynamic visualization tool in Voyant that turns complex financial plans into clear, interactive visual stories. Rather than relying on static reports, Wealth Flow gives you and your clients a comprehensive look at yearly financial activity, making it simple to track and understand how money moves throughout the plan.

By illustrating the flow of assets, income, liabilities, and expenses, advisers can guide clients through the outcomes of their decisions and foster more engaging planning conversations.

Where to Find It

You can access Wealth Flow in the Let’s See menu

From here, clients and advisers can explore how money moves year by year using the age slider, following flows between accounts, income sources, properties, debts, and more.

Key Categories Tracked in Wealth Flow

Wealth Flow provides a complete, filterable view of a client’s financial life, including:

  • Accounts & Credit Reserves – Visualize transfers between savings, checking, and investment accounts, as well as the use of credit reserves.

  • Cash Flows & Income – Understand where income originates and how it’s allocated. Any “unallocated” income is flagged, helping identify potential savings or investment opportunities.

  • Properties – Track value changes as properties are purchased, sold, or transferred.

  • Debts & Liabilities – Show how debts are repaid and their impact on overall financial health.

  • Goals & Expenses – Highlight how money is used to achieve client goals and cover lifestyle costs.

  • Charity & Gifting – Monitor charitable giving and gifts to family or others.

  • Taxes – Provide clients with a clear view of how taxes are paid and their role in the bigger financial picture.

Visualization & Filtering

  • Starting Point – The first year of the plan displays initial values, without transaction arrows, as a baseline.

  • Balance Sheet Integration – Linked directly from the Net Worth card for deeper analysis.

*Note that the Balance Sheet shows Beginning of Year figures whereas Wealthflow shows End of Year figures so you will notice a difference between the values. This is intentional.

  • Filter by Person or Entity – Narrow results to an individual, spouse, or entity such as a trust or business.

  • Corporate Module Support – For plans with companies or trusts, Wealth Flow shows how money moves in and out of these structures.

Legacy & Estate Planning

At the conclusion of the plan, Wealth Flow generates a visual legacy summary. This includes estate distributions, legacy transfers, and the breakdown of remaining assets. In the year of death, Wealth Flow aligns estate distribution credits with the figures found on the Legacy screen, ensuring clarity for both advisers and clients.
