How to Generate Reports in AdviserGo
This guide explains how to generate client reports in AdviserGo, including selecting reports, configuring report options, reordering outputs, and accessing recently generated reports.
Accessing Client Reports
- Open the client record
- You will land on the Dashboard
- Click Reports
You will see two options:
- Client Reports
- Manage Report Sets
This guide focuses on Client Reports.
Selecting Reports from the Reports Library
Step 1: Choose a Plan
- In the Reports Library, use Select a Plan to choose:
- The Base Plan, or
- A What-If plan
Step 2: Select Reports
- Hover over a report to see a short description
- Click reports to select them
- Selected reports are highlighted in green
- Click again to deselect if needed
Optional: Use a Report Set
- If report sets have already been created, you can select a Report Set instead of individual reports
- (Not covered in this guide)
Generating Reports for Multiple Plans
You can generate reports from more than one plan in a single output.
Example:
- Select reports for the Base Plan
- Return to Select a Plan
- Choose a What-If plan
- Select the same (or different) reports
Review, Configure, and Generate
After selecting reports, scroll up to Review, Configure and Generate.
Review Selections
- You’ll see:
- The report name
- The plan it comes from
- The total number of selected reports is displayed
Reset All Selections
- Click Reset Selection to remove all reports
Reordering and Removing Reports
Reorder Reports
- Click the list icon
- Use the up/down arrows to change report order
Remove a Report
- Click the traffic-light menu
- Select Delete
Previewing and Configuring Reports
Preview
- Click Preview to see a short description of the report
Configure (Where Available)
Some reports allow configuration:
- Turn specific insights on or off
- Choose chart types
- Select which goals to include
- Change the order goals appear
Click Save after configuring each report.
Adding Notes to Reports
- Use the Notes section to add commentary
- Notes appear at the end of the generated report
Configuring Timelines for Detailed Reports
For detailed reports (e.g., Cash Flow, Assets):
- Click the traffic-light menu
- Select Configure
- Choose a timeline:
- Every year
- Every 5th year
- First 5 years
- Custom year selections
Apply Timeline to All Reports
- Use Apply timeline for all detailed reports to standardize output
Click Save after making changes.
Additional Report Options
Export Raw Data and Images
- Exports charts and data in Excel format
- Files download directly to your device
- (Not covered in this guide)
Real Money Mode
- Toggle Real Money to generate reports in real (inflation-adjusted) terms
- Only supported reports will be enabled
- Toggle off to return to nominal values
Generating Reports
Once satisfied:
- Click Generate Report
- The report downloads automatically
Viewing Recent Reports
If you can’t find your report:
- Click View Recent Reports
- Recently generated reports are available for up to 14 days
- Reports can be:
- Downloaded again
- Saved from this screen
Saving Your Report Selection
- If you navigate away without making plan changes, your report selection will persist
- If you make any changes to the plan, selections will reset and need to be reselected
