How to Delete a Plan Version in AdviserGo

If a plan has been updated or promoted in error, you can delete that version and return to the previous plan version. This article walks through how to safely remove an unwanted plan version.


When to Use This

You may want to delete a plan version if:

  • A plan was updated and promoted by mistake
  • You want to revert to a previous base plan
  • The current plan version is read-only and no longer needed

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Plan Menu

  1. Open the client record.
  2. Click on the plan name at the top of the screen.
  3. Select View in Admin Console.

2. Identify the Plan Version to Delete

  1. In the Admin Console, you’ll see a list of plan versions.
  2. Locate the promoted or updated plan version you want to remove.
    • This is typically the most recent version created from the original base plan.

3. Delete the Plan Version

  1. Click on the plan version you want to delete.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select Delete this client save version.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

⚠️ Only the selected plan version is deleted. Other plan versions are not affected.


4. Refresh and Return to the Plan

  1. Return to the client record.
  2. Refresh the page if needed.
    • You may briefly see an error message — this is expected.
  3. Reopen the plan.

Result

  • The incorrectly updated plan version is removed
  • The original base plan is restored
  • The plan is no longer read-only
  • You can continue editing the plan as normal

Important Notes

  • Deleted plan versions cannot be recovered
  • This action does not delete the client or other plan versions
  • If you are unsure, consider creating a What-If plan instead of deleting
