ClientGo Overview: Helping Clients Explore Goals Before the Meeting

This video provides an overview of ClientGo, a new feature designed to help clients think more creatively about their goals before meeting with their adviser.

ClientGo allows clients to explore what they want to achieve, where those goals fall on their life timeline, and how priorities may change over time.


What Is ClientGo?

ClientGo is a client-facing experience that enables individuals to:

  • Explore and define goals
  • Add finances and expenses
  • Visualize timing and priorities
  • Prepare for a more meaningful planning conversation

Clients can complete this independently before a meeting, giving advisers a clearer starting point.


Inviting Clients to ClientGo

You can invite both new and existing clients.

Inviting New Clients

  • You can send an invitation to clients without an existing Voyant plan
  • This allows them to start building a plan from scratch using ClientGo

Inviting Existing Clients

  1. Open the client record
  2. Select the three-dot menu
  3. Choose Invite to ClientGo
  4. Select permissions:
    • View plan details
    • Add and change goals
    • Add finances and expenses

For existing clients, the invitation link takes them directly into ClientGo.


What Clients See in ClientGo

Clients work through three guided sections:

1. Goals

Clients are encouraged to focus on goals first:

  • Short term (next few years)
  • Medium term (5–10 years)
  • Longer-term goals

For each goal, clients can:

  • Rename the goal
  • Enter an amount
  • Set timing by dragging the goal onto the timeline
  • Adjust the priority level

Once added, goals appear visually on the timeline, showing:

  • When the goal occurs
  • How important it is relative to other goals

2. Finances

Clients can add financial resources to help achieve their goals, such as:

  • Savings
  • Investments
  • Income sources

3. Expenses

Expenses are broken down into everyday categories to make data entry easier and more intuitive.

Each section includes:

  • A running summary
  • Clear visibility of what has been entered

Client Home Screen

Clients can return to the home screen at any time to see:

  • A chart showing progress so far
  • How goals, finances, and expenses interact

What Advisers See in AdviserGo

Once the client completes their inputs:

  • The data automatically pulls into AdviserGo
  • Goals, finances, and expenses appear in the dashboard
  • Advisers can review and refine details
  • Additional items can be added using the plus button

From here, advisers can:

  • Run What-If scenarios
  • Use Insights to guide conversations
  • Focus discussions on what matters most to the client

Ongoing Client Access

You can continue to give clients access to ClientGo so they can:

  • Update goals
  • Adjust finances
  • Refine expenses over time

This helps keep plans collaborative and up to date.
